Language Disorders
Receptive Language – difficulty with listening and understanding spoken or written language, for example, following directions, understanding words and understanding questions.
Expressive Language –difficulty withcommunicating a message, for example, speaking in sentences, speaking in words, answering questions and telling stories.
Pragmatics– difficulty using language to interact with others, for example, greetings, initiating a conversation, turn taking in a conversation, staying on topic and eye contact.
