Hearing & Auditory Processing Disorders

Central Auditory Processing Disorders– difficulty with sound processing unrelated to a hearing loss. Individuals with auditory processing disorders have normal structure and functioning of the ear, but have difficulty recognizing and interpreting sounds, especially speech sounds.
